Okay, so I promised to show the finished cuff blanks from the Rings and Things blog partner challenge, and here they are. I was pretty pleased with the results, considering that it was my first try.
With regard to the blanks themselves, the copper blanks were easier to work with. I was able to bend them into shape using my fingers. I had to get out the rawhide hammer to bend the brass blanks and wasn’t 100% satisfied with the resulting curves. However, Cindy Morris, who is the blog partner “handler” for Rings and Things tells me that others thought that the copper was too easily bent, so I guess it’s a matter of personal preference.
